Anthony Cefalu was born in Lafayette, Indiana, and began studying ballet at several small studios in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Norwalk, Ohio. While in Ohio in 2015 he performed as guest artist for the Bellevue Society for the Arts in Let’s Say It with Firecrackers, from Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 2017 to train at Saint Louis Ballet under the direction of Gen Horiuchi. While there he performed in Saint Louis Ballet's The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, and Coppélia. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2019 to train at the Milwaukee Ballet School and Academy under the tutelage of Rolando Yanes and Monica Isla, and performed in the Pre-Professional Training Program’s Ascend and MBSA’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. In 2020 he moved to Louisville, Kentucky, to join the Louisville Ballet Studio Company under the direction of Robert Curran and Mikelle Bruzina. There he performed in company productions of Kentucky! Volume One, Robert Curran’s Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty, along with Louisville Ballet School’s Spring Dance Festival. In 2022 he moved to Duluth and is excited to join the Minnesota Ballet in all future productions.
